Unstuck: Embracing Imperfection So You Can Get On With Life (men's version)

  • Lawncrest Library 6098 Rising Sun Avenue Philadelphia, PA, 19111 United States (map)

How Feeling Stuck Can Show Up

Men may be less likely than women to say, “I feel stuck,” partly because they experience and express it differently. For many men, feeling stuck may appear as:

·        A persistent sense of failure

·        Uncertainty about what to do next

·        Powerlessness or ongoing frustration

·        Pressure to “get it right” without the confidence to move forward

·        Constant activity without meaningful progress

A lack of progress can feel like a threat to a man’s identity as a provider, protector, or capable person.

Moving Beyond Shame

When men feel ashamed of being stuck, they may rush to find solutions or distract themselves from the discomfort. What they may need instead is time to pause, reflect, and become curious about what else is happening beneath the surface.

What the Workshop Offers

This workshop gives men an opportunity to examine what happens when they feel stuck. Rather than viewing the experience as a failure, participants will learn to recognize their strengths, reshape the stories they tell themselves about who they are and what is possible, clarify their next steps, and build the confidence to move forward.
